The "ODYSSEY System-Level Design Tool" receives an untimed embedded application source code in Object-Oriented (OO) C++ language and refines it to fully-timed collaborating hardware-software components. A major point here is that the tool supports hardware-software implementation of important OO software abstractions, namely inheritance and polymorphism.
