A FPGA-based wireless sensor node with a multi-source energy harvesting circuit is demonstrated. Energy status of the node is displayed in real time on a Java Application running on a remote laptop. Sensor data processing algorithms executed on the FPGA and parameters of the energy harvesting circuit can be monitored and modified via the graphical user interface. Different environmental conditions are reproduced, illustrating the behaviour of the node in different circumstances.
